Technical features of Tower Farms

A Tower Farm consists of a minimum of 10 towers,
an irrigation system, and a set of nutrients.

The aeroponic tower

The reservoir at the base of the tower has a capacity of 70 L, measuring 36 cm in height and 73 cm in diameter.

Each section of the tower is 19 cm in height, 22 cm in diameter, and can accommodate 4 plants (per pot/section).

Each “micro-greens” section of the tower is 9.5 cm in height, 22 cm in diameter, and can accommodate 8 spaces per pot/section.

Each aeroponic tower is equipped with a 50 W pump. This pump operates for 3 minutes every 12 minutes on a 24-hour cycle. Therefore, a Tower Farm is connected to a timer that automates the process, and the pump runs for 4.5 hours per day.

Each tower is equipped with 2 stainless steel bars inside, which allows for basic assembly and connecting the sections/pots together.

Tower Garden® is made from the safest food-grade PC/ABS plastic formula, UV-stabilized, and BPA-free.

The high-quality resins used by Tower Garden® comply with the guidelines of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for food contact and European directives for the restriction of hazardous substances. Our resin material is also completely opaque, keeping light out and inhibiting algae growth.
The PC/ABS material, which was specifically designed for manufacturing Tower Garden®, has been successfully tested for chemical leaching down to the nanoparticle level.

Although technically our exclusive PC/ABS is considered plastic, Tower Garden® is the only soilless food-growing system that has been approved for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects. Tower Garden® has been approved for LEED projects due to the sustainability of the material used to construct the towers, combined with the low energy consumption and high crop yields of our technology.

When it comes to agriculture, whether organic or not, the pipes used for irrigation systems are derived from petroleum, tractors run on fuel, harvested crops are stored in plastic containers, and so on. Additionally, organic agriculture uses tons of plastic mulch (which is of lower quality than the material used to make our towers).

Installation

We can accompany the client on-site, regardless of the geographical location, for the assembly of the towers and the start-up of the operation. We can also provide training on assembly and start-up at our farm in the Southwest of France.

However, small-scale operations do not require on-site training services with a dedicated person. Tower Garden Ltd. provides a comprehensive and well-documented step-by-step instruction manual. We can provide remote assistance via video call if needed.
